Working on commission

I've spent a very happy weekend working on my first commissioned artwork. It's been very moving -- the commissioner wanted to include text from a book she and a friend have shared since they were young, and the quotes are so beautiful. It's really an amazing tribute to friendship, this book, and I hope I can make the piece special enough visually to marry with the words.
